An old Swedish proverb says, “Those who wish to sing, always find a song.” Kristine couldn’t agree more. From singing lead in her high school Christian rock band to performing with her local choral society, she finds a song wherever she goes. Her life's “composition” includes spending quality family time with her husband and three children, and working with colleagues at A&M-Commerce to bring top talent to the university.

A Conversation with Kristine
What would you tell a student who is thinking about attending A&M-Commerce?
A&M-Commerce offers a fun and welcoming campus with several opportunities to grow, both personally and intellectually.
Have you always lived in Texas?
I actually grew up in Southwestern Oklahoma in a tiny one-stoplight town. I moved to Northeast Texas in 2008, and then I moved to Colorado for seven years. I returned to Texas a couple of years ago, and I'm happy to be back!
What are your hobbies?
When I was growing up, I sang in choir competitions and sang lead in a Christian rock band. I still love to sing. When I moved to Texas, I joined the Northeast Texas Choral Society, and I remain an active member. Other than singing, I enjoy eating out, exercising and spending time with my family.
Tell us about your family.
I am married and have three kids. My son is 15; my daughter is seven, and my youngest daughter is five months old!
